I got my curls back!!! :D

I have gotten SO many messages about THIS picture/post!  I decided it would be easiest to write up a post about it so it is easier to find later!

okay...Here is the photo. Yes, that is my hair. Yes, it looks amazing! No - it does not have any sulfates, parabens, SLS, SLES, MEA, DEA, TEA, petrochemicals, animal byproducts, dyes, phthalates, or other harsh chemicals!

I took this photo right after I woke up. I took a shower the night before, and fell asleep with wet hair. That is all! It was so soft (it still is!) Usually when I fall asleep with wet hair, there's more frizz than anything. Not this time! And it was CURLY! This may not look like a lot of curl to you, but compared to how not curly my hair has been lately, it totally is!

WHAT?!?! You heard right. All natural baby! My hair has not looked this good in years, especially since it has gotten so long. I always assumed that my curls were just pulled out from the weight of my hair. Even when I would put in curling products, it still just looked like a frizzy mess.
Now, you know, I am allll about my Young Living products. Always will be.
But - one night, I was up late browsing the interwebs, and came across this company called Puracy.

Let me tell you why I fell in love:
1. Developed by doctors. Always cool
2. None of the gross stuff that is in 99% of the other products on the market. Yay!

3. That artwork on the bottle?? Made by local artists. Awesome.

4. And - guess what?! It's made in Austin, Texas. I was born there! ;)

 I noticed a difference right away. Then - the detoxing process happened! I'll spare you those details, but you can Google hair detox and get a pretty good idea what happened over the next couple days!
I wasn't quite ready for that. It was pretty gross knowing that I had so many 'things' built up in my hair over the years. I have never been a huge product person, thankfully, so I can't imagine what it would have looked like if I were! My parents came to visit, and my mom got hooked on this shampoo, too! She ordered some as soon as she got home!


After my experience with this shampoo & conditioner, I ordered the baby wash & lotion, too! They should be here in the next couple days. I can't wait!

And - I will NOT be going back to any of those chemical-filled products! EVER!

LuLaRoe Halloween Inspiration

I thought I would start with a little Halloween inspiration! I have put together some outfits that, with a few accessories, could give you the perfect outfit for Halloween! The best part is that they can all be worn again...unlike that store-bought costume that may never see the light of day again!

12 Days of Christmas Crafts | Day 9 | Sugar Scrub

Today's craft is all about the scrubs! Sugar scrubs, that is. ;) And three different kinds, to be exact.

This is probably one of the easiest and fastest gifts you could make for someone, and the possibilities are endless!


Here are the ingredients we used for the first two:
White sugar
Baby oil
Essential oil

The first two we made were with plain old white sugar. I added about 1 cup of sugar to a bowl. We then measured out 1/4 cup baby oil. This is the only oil I had on hand, so that is what I used. Olive oil, coconut oil, or avocado oil would make excellent alternatives! I then added about 15 drops of essential oil. We did one peppermint, and one grapefruit. They smell delicious!!

 I used separate bowls and spatulas for each one so that I did not have to wash in between. I was on the phone, and it was just easier to grab another bowl! I was done with each one in less than 5 minutes!
Each scrub got put into a little jar with some Christmas colored ribbon and a tag. :)

The brown sugar scrub was a little more involved than that!
The ingredients were:

1 1/2 C Sugar
1/4 Cup Honey
1/4 Cup baby oil
1/2 Cup Oats

As you can see, this one has more to it. I was able to divide this recipe into 3 jars. Small size mason jars. This means in less than 5 minutes, I made 3 gifts! :) The jars got ribboned and tagged like the first ones, and they were ready to go!!

I have no idea why I didn't get a photo of all three jars together. I really thought I did since they all looked so pretty...

And, of course, I had to make some for myself! You will want to, also! Your hands will thank you!!


 Tomorrow I will be showing you how they got packaged along with out gifts that had to be shipped out! I can't wait. I'm very excited to share! You should be, too! ;)
