First off...Happy St. Patrick's Day! Don't forget to wear green today!!
I recently ordered the new 21 Day Fix challenge pack from Beachbody. The box arrived, and inside I found the DVDs for the workouts, a meal plan booklet, and 7 colored containers. I got a little nervous looking at the sizes of the containers and thinking that was all I was going to be able to eat. I calculated my daily calorie allotment, and added 500 because I am nursing. I was so surprised, though, when I actually started planning the meals, and seeing how much food it actually was! It is honestly a lot more than I am used to eating.
Before, I was a 'grab whatever is easy' type of eater for breakfast and lunch. This always left me grabbing junk because I didn't have a clear plan and waited until I was starving to get something to eat. I have been so happy knowing that I have healthy food in the pantry, and a plan for eating it all!
I found this Roasted Saigon Cinnamon on my last shopping trip. I had to try it and see how it was different from regular cinnamon. It is SO good! I can't even explain the flavor. It adds such a great taste to everything I have tried it on so far! I can't wait to get back to the store and get more before we move!!
Here is one of my favorite meals so far:
Strawberries and blueberries (1 Purple Cup) with
Yogurt (1 Red Cup)
Topped with Roasted Saigon Cinnamon (Free)
Before I discovered the cinnamon, I would just have the yogurt with strawberries. (don't mind the peach flavored yogurt. I somehow accidentally grabbed it by mistake!) I would also have some cereal with it. This would be a breakfast or snack, depending on how my morning was going!
I will post soon about some lunch and dinner options I have been eating!

One more time...
I have had such a hard time trying to keep up posting over the last year. Being pregnant really kicked my butt. I was exhausted. We also didn't have much going on, so there wasn't much to blog about. Now that my little guy is two months old, we are getting back into a new routine, and I am able to have a little more time. A little. I miss being able to share my food and crafts. It kept me creative!
There are many things I am looking forward to blogging about in the near future. They include:
* the burlap table runners I made!
* all the random things I have made to coordinate
* my spring/summer wreath
* our house redecoration
* my new scrap booking project
* my new fitness routine
* and the baby, of course!
These are just a few of the things I am looking forward to sharing! I hope you will stay tuned, check back often, and help me make sure I don't get behind again! I think since I wrote it down to share with the public, it may keep me a little more motivated! Haha.
For now, though, I must go finish giving baths for bed!
Here is a little peek at what it's been like here lately! I can't wait for the spring!

Bento lunches! | Valentine's week
I love the idea of a bean to lunch. I've made a couple in the past, but they weren't that awesome because I didn't have proper compartments for everything. I was recently browsing in Pinterest, and became reminded of the bento lunch box. I went on Amazon to try and find a good one for Jake. I didn't like that I couldn't see how big they were. Then, one review I read mentioned getting the same one at Walmart. Why had I never thought of this option?? It just so happened that grocery shopping (at Walmart) was on my list of things to do that day. I was instanly excited to go to walmart (this doesn't happen often, especially on a Saturday!)
As soon as I got in the store, I made a beeline for the kitchen aisles. There were so many options! This is not something I was prepared for! I wanted them all! I settled in an expandable one that comes with a little container for dressings. It was labeled 'for salads' but it definitely can work for anything.
Today was my first real attempt at a bento launch. We went out to lunch yesterday, and I had some leftover BBQ chicken. Who doesn't like cold BBQ chicken?? I added carrots (cut into a heart shape for Valentines day!) and some fries and applesauce. Oh and a chocolate heart candy for dessert. I hope he likes it!
Do you have any good bento lunch ideas?? I would love to see them! Feel free to share them onager on my Facebook page!
